Lotte World Opens South Korea’s Highest Tech Attraction

Do You Speak Beluga concept artLotte World, South Korea’s largest indoor entertainment complex, is adding a new live theater show to their growing list of exciting attractions. The interactive new show, entitled “Do You Speak Beluga?”, is scheduled to open in January.

The project was a collaborative effort between design firm The Goddard Group and South Korean animation company Rayglyph. The Goddard Group is well known in the entertainment design space for their work on attractions worldwide and this will be their second installment at Lotte World. “Jumping Fish”, their popular kid-friendly first attraction, opened this past October.Do You Speak Beluga attraction logo

“Do You Speak Beluga?” features a digitally animated beluga whale that is eager to interact with guests in cute and funny ways. Set in a cavern-like space that gives visitors the impression of being under the sea with the friendly whale, this immersive experience will delight young children through its clever use of technology and proximity to the animation.Jumping Fish at Lotte World

The new interactive show is one of the most high tech attraction experiences in all of South Korea. Lotte World expects that it will be a huge hit among guests young and old, for its combination of digital interactivity and fun. The show is one element of a larger project in the theme park’s Aqua Plaza section, which will feature a unique under the sea dining experience for guests as well as the new “Jumping Fish” and “Beluga” attractions. The family friendly new area is expected to be completed next December.
