Children's Design

Children's design is not synonymous with theme design. This genre attempts to create whimsical, fun places that encourage play. Examples include playgrounds, gyms, retail stores, and institutions such as schools and hospitals. Creating playful experiences for kids can be challenging in the face of real world logistics, but the designers and projects featured here have all managed to create places that are ingeniously functional while still fostering a sense of playfulness and wonder.
