Event design usually requires a unique blend of skills: creative vision, problem solving skills and technical ability. While some companies handle events as large as the Olympics, most of the designers you meet who specialize in smaller events like weddings, fundraisers, parties and even festivals or conferences. Event design includes the conceptual development of the event, coordinating vendors and executing the design, which may require as little as lighting design to building entirely new structures to create the maximum impact and enjoyment for the event's attendees or participants.
